I think I could get used to this… Winkie

June 24th, 2006

Ta-da!

So…yeah.

A really bad surprise, but that’s only because (1) you’re not me and (2) you haven’t heard me out yet.

This…is my site. My new site. Emphasis on “my.”

I’m tired of the Xangas, MySpaces, and Facebooks of the world. I don’t want to be constrained by the limitations of a site that is being sued for millions of dollars on any given day of the week. And luckily, unlike most, I have an out.

Click to view full size... By letting my inner geek meet up with my inner graphic designer, I’ve been able to cook up something that I like. Something that lets me put my gallery, portfolio, and blog in the same place. A place that I can tinker with until my eyes glaze over and drool beings its slow decent from the corner of my mouth.

And it’s not like I haven’t tinkered enough as it is. As my parents can probably tell anyone within earshot, I’ve been spending days and hours trying to get this thing up. Between the uploading of my 2491 photos one-by-one into 172 albums, the hundreds (if not thousands) of lines of seemingly meaningless code, and the other random things I’ve had to tweak in order to get this site up and running from almost nothing, I’m surprised it got done this fast.

But it did.

So go ahead, make like a kid at the carnival. Explore this thing, click on whatever you’d like, and, if I’ve done my job right, you’ll find something that might, just might, qualify as a surprise.

i would suggest NOT showing your email in text…a link maybe but not text…the last thing you want is people getting a hold of that and trashing a perfectly good gmail address

i actually made a separate gmail account for colleges and things that make me give an address to sign up for w/e because i know that they sell it/give it out to others. sure enough…johnrice442@gmail.com is full of crap…i think i have checked like 10 of 300 messages in there…

just a suggestion, becuase people will find this thing…like, people that AREN’T cool…it happened to the KHQ site, but jim in his noob-ish awesomeness fixed it.

    peace out homie…looks awesome

i laughed a lot…and i understand your beef with william gates…that man has only ruined things and the world will be better when GUBUNTU, the in progress google OS, comes out.

oh dang…im pretty sure that’s considered “nerd-core” and it…it makes me happy

im going to play a video game now…i think i still remember how (it has been months)

WHY DO I LEAVE SUCH LONG COMMENTS HOLY CRAP
