Reason #11634 Why I’m Jealous of My Siblings: This is CNN.

Blah-g

I’ve been getting subtle and not-so-subtle reminders from people for the past few weeks. A quick word about the unchanging status of my digital baby, or short little IMs saying things like “you need to update your blog” and “harder than you thought, eh?”

I get it. I stink at keeping this up-to-date. But in my defense, it is summer.

That’s all coming to an end soon though. This was the last weekend before school starts. Heck, I had to get up at 5:30 AM this morning for XC. And before long (Thursday???) I’ll be slipping into my familiar starchy khaki and white uniform and rediscovering how much I really hate homework and the amplified electrical popping that heralds the great Oz…I mean, Gorman’s arrival.

Luckily, there’s a bright side to this messy school thing. I can actually get things done. I can see my friends again, miserable though they’ll be. And I can once again hold in my hands my one true love…that beautiful matte black digital SLR named Cammie (her words, not mine).

So, expect more from this site in the coming weeks.

In fact, start now…

We had a family reunion just a couple of weeks ago. Everyone came down for it- cousins, aunts, uncles, brother, sister, you name it… I thought it might be a good time to test the crappiness of my cell phone’s video camera. And guess what. It’s pretty crappy. I still think it’s neat though.

My brother also brought down his amazingly awesome MacBook. That alone is cause for celebration, but when you take into account that the built-in iSight camera has distortion effects…it’s a full-blown partay. A really really weird party…

And last but not least, I have to show off my cellphone camera’s awe-inspiring capabilities one last time because…while working on the Flyer (New cover concept, anyone?) earlier this week, Dave and I came across the Koran. Computerized. In the middle of a Catholic school’s network server. The fact that we don’t have a similar computerized Bible notwithstanding, it was pretty interesting. It even had a 20-30 song playlist soundtrack…

راءع , no?

Nick, I would just like to say that you’ve got some great photos & a great layout. But the reason for this comment is this: there are many, many, MANY computerized versions of the Bible. My favorite is VulSearch: a side-by-side translation of the Clementine Vulgate Bible with the Douay–Rheims. Why the Koran was on the BC servers I have no idea, but I think I saw it there once, too.
